Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders Officers Mess Snuff Box

Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders officer's mascots received regimental numbers, rank and rations.  They were able to progress through the ranks and take part in ceremonies, parades and would live in suitable accommodation in the barracks with the regiment.  When they died they were made into an ornamental snuff box with solid silver horns, the silver box was filled with ground tobacco, and topped with a large cairngorm stone.
